We Understand Deferred Action And How To Help You Secure It

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is a program that dates back to 2012 and was designed to help undocumented individuals who were brought to the U.S. as children. The program offers two main benefits to those who qualify for the program:

  • Deferred possibility of deportation
  • Eligibility for employment

Deferred action must be renewed every two years.

Acceptance into the DACA program hinges on a variety of factors including:

  • How old you were when you came to the U.S.
  • How old you were on January 15, 2012
  • Residing continuously in the U.S. since June 15, 2007
  • Being continuously present in the U.S. since June 15, 2012
  • Being in school currently or having a high school diploma, GED or honorably discharged veteran status
  • No felonies, significant misdemeanors or otherwise being deemed a threat to public safety/national security

Deferred Action For Parents Of Americans And Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA)

DAPA would have offered benefits such as protections against deportation for undocumented parents who have children born in the U.S. The program is currently suspended due to a split Supreme Court decision in June of 2016. We will stay up to date regarding the status of this program and will be ready to help potential candidates if the program is restored.
